The international organisation of all SCI branches and groups was started after WWII. In 1949 a first constitution was approved.

Constitution of SCI Switzerland
The first workcamp in Switzerland took place in 1924. As the idea of Service Civil International got broader support by volunteers a first constitution was drafted in 1931, which was approved by the annual assembly in 1935.This version was revised in 1954.
