A Danish volunteer, Haakon Nederland, travelled 85 years ago to Liechtenstein in order to join the international volunteer service after the severe floods. The exhibition describes his impressions with letters and photos which he sent to his parents. Haakon was convinced that such volunteer services could contribute to peace and international understanding and promoted it in Denmark in 1945.
